Key Move: Saud Al-Tassan Joins Bank of America Merrill Lynch Riyadh

Saud Al-Tassan joins Bank of America Merrill Lynch as Head of KSA Investment Banking, and is the first person to hold that position at the institution.

Al-Tassan has over 16 years of banking experience, and was most recently Chief Executive Officer of Swicorp, having joined in 2010, and over the last 9 years has built on his extensive experience across M&A, privatisations and restructurings.

Prior to Swicorp, Al-Tassan worked at NCB Capital's Investment Banking Joint Venture with Goldman Sachs where he focused on M&A, and at Banque Saudi Fransi in Project Finance and Syndication.

The hire is part of the drive by international institutions to expand in the country, with Merrill Lynch having acted as Joint Financial Adviser and Global Coordinator for the landmark IPO of Saudi Aramco, and having previously advised the Public Investment Fund on the sale of it's stake in SABIC to Saudi Aramco.
