Georgios Papangelis Joins UBS Greece Wealth Management

George joins from Citi Private Bank, where he was a Senior Investment Counselor in London and Madrid, managing a book of UHNW clients domiciled in Greece, the UK, Continental Europe and Switzerland

During his 7-year tenure with Citigroup, George was consistently ranked among the Firm’s top performing EMEA Investment Counselors for Structured Equity activity and in 2021 was also voted by clients among the top 3 EMEA Investment Counselors

Throughout his 20+ years professional career, George held senior roles in Athens based Investment Firms, where he was responsible for overseeing and advising Private Equity transactions and privatisations in Greece and South East Europe in the sectors of Renewable Energy, Power and Real Estate

George also worked with ABN AMRO, as a Credit Portfolio Manager, covering corporate clients in the Energy, Healthcare and Industrial sectors, and with the Investment Bank of Greece, as an Equity Analyst, covering Greek Equities, where he was consistently ranked among the top analysts in Europe

George is a CFA charterholder and holds an MSc from CASS Business School in Banking & International Finance
