• Polen Capital has made a deal to buy DDJ Capital Management, a boutique with USD 8.2bln in assets focused on high yield strategies
• Loomis Sayles has launched a private credit division and hired specialist Chris GUDMASTAD to lead the new arm. Gudmastad, who will be Head of Private Credit, joins from Securian Asset Management, where he was responsible for a private credit portfolio worth USD 6.8bln
• Schroders has appointed CIO Johanna KYRKLUND and Head of Equities Rory BATEMAN as Co-Heads of Investments
• Nuveen, the asset management arm of TIAA, has named Saira MALIK as its new Chief Investment Officer

• HSBC Global Asset Management has acquired Indian asset manager L&T Investment Management for USD 425mln. Additionally the fund has appointed Gordon PIERRE RODRIGUES as CIO for liquidity for APAC, having previously managed the India Fixed Income fund
