- Sovereign Wealth Fund is seeking individuals from Management Consultancy/Private Equity Portfolio Development backgrounds at Vice President/Associate level
- Individual will be part of the Business Development team in Riyadh, responsible for managing and optimising Private Equity assets
- The Sovereign Wealth Fund’s stated aim is to become the largest Sovereign Wealth Fund globally within the next 3 years

Requirements: 

  • 5 – 10 years of experience in Management Consultancy or a Portfolio Development role for a Private Equity fund
  • Ability to work with partner companies to implement value creation plans
  • Strong financial and commercial skills
  • Experience within a global financial hub such as New York or London is preferable
  • Prior exposure to the emerging markets is preferable
  • Ability to establish strong working relationship with portfolio company management, to the extent that you will be able to influence their strategic thinking
  • Excellent team player with proactive approach in engaging with all internal stakeholders
  • Ability to coach and mentor junior Analysts
  • The individual must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field from a top university or college, an additional post-graduate degree in business or finance such as an MBA, MS or PhD would be an advantage
  • Professional qualification such as CFA, CAIA

Responsibilities: 

  • To work closely with the portfolio manager and holding companies to improve performances and efficiencies of the holding companies to extract value for the clients’ investments
  • The client invests across various sectors, these include; Travel and Leisure; Industrial and Logistics; TMT; Real Estate and Infrastructure; Energy
  • Maintain an overall view on sector opportunities and challenges
  • Review new investment opportunities and prepare investment memos
  • Define shareholder opinion for portfolio entities in the sector
  • Evaluate and develop views on key portfolio companies’ decisions
  • Monitor performance of portfolio companies and report to senior management
  • Identify portfolio synergies and drive execution
  • Coordinate with PIF Board representatives to drive strategic actions
  • Review and provide recommendations on business plans for new companies in the sector
  • Monitor execution of new companies’ business plans and recommend actions in case of delays
  • Monitor achievement of relevant PIF KPIs in the sector
  • Support the recruitment and development of the Saudi Equities team
