- One of our clients, an investment bank, is looking to add a Director/Vice President to their equity distribution team based in Dubai to help leverage its strong existing domestic franchise and strengthen its equities platform

Requirements: 

  • 7+ years of equity sales experience in a global investment bank in an international financial hub such as New York or London
  • Contacts within Global Emerging Market/Frontier Market/MENA focused long only funds and hedge funds
  • A strong, demonstrable track record in sales with institutional clients
  • Credibility and gravitas to operate at a senior level within the organisation as well as across a range of external clients
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities: 

  • Building and maintaining strategic working relationships with corporates in the MENA region
  • Working with the bank’s equity research platform on creating product best-suited for client needs and facilitating capital markets on placing IPOs, secondaries & blocks
  • Providing accurate monthly sales forecasts by product and by client, in accordance with the internal planning system
  • Responsibility for analysis of sales information and data by value, volume and product
  • Maintaining continuous feedback to the line manager, in particular feedback on opportunities and issues arising in the marketplace
  • Maintaining accurate sales records for all assigned clients, and all the sales-related documentation
  • Organizing and participating in analyst and management road-shows, country conferences, events featuring government officials, as well as informal client gatherings
