- A leading Swiss private banking group is seeking a Desk Head to manage and join the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) private banking team based out of Geneva
- The preferred candidate must have a private banking or wealth management background, preferably in a leadership role, demonstrating an expert understanding of the market with a strong personal network within the NRI space

Requirements: 

  • Candidate with substantial experience in a traditional relationship management position within the banking sector
  • Proven track record in asset gathering, asset growth and revenue generation
  • Demonstrates a keen ability to build and maintain business relationships with new and existing business partners
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact at all levels of business efficiently
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and products
  • Possesses business vision and is able to strategise as well as prioritise work objectives
  • Capable of conducting effective sales management and profit centre management
  • An individual that keeps abreast of new laws and regulations related to private banking and significantly contribute to the bank’s regulatory environment

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead, coach and supervise a team of relationship managers and investment advisors, fostering a team culture to cultivate and deepen client relationships
  • Responsible for the revenue generation of the division and support the relationship managers in acquiring new assets for the bank
  • Maintain business relationships with new and existing business partners
  • Ensure that the private banking business model is successfully implemented
  • Represent the bank and promote the wealth management and private banking services it offers
  • Ensure that the client relationships are developed and maintained in an efficient, ethical and compliant manner which will lead to high levels of customer satisfaction and enhance the brand and reputation of the firm
  • Grow revenue and increase AUM of the team
  • Maintain highest standard of excellence in client service across the team and with individual portfolio through a range of initiatives
  • Ensure team is collaborating with other functions, products and services for the client
  • Takes business decisions relating to a client’s regulatory, tax, liquidity and estate planning activities
