Description:
An international bulge bracket with strong emerging markets / MENA presence and an existing fully fledged MENA investment banking and equities platform in Dubai is seeking to expand its Equity Research team with the addition of an experienced Telecoms Equity Research Analyst.

The individual will report to the Head of MENA Research that is locally based, and will be the Lead Telecoms Analyst.

Responsibilities:

• Telecommunications coverage focusing on BOTH MENA and South African markets
• Fundamental, quantitative and qualitative research
• Bottom-up stock picking process and disciplined risk management process
• Undertake liquidity screening and assess the quality of management via annual company visits
• Will be responsible for comprehensive fundamental and relative value analysis of MENA and South African stocks including:
  • ORASCOM TELECOM, Telecoms, Egypt
  • TELECOM Egypt, Telecoms, Egypt
  • ETIHAD ETISALAT, Telecoms, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • ZAIN, Telecoms, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • MOBILE TELECOM CO, Telecoms, Kuwait
  • MTN, Telecoms, South Africa
  • TELKOM, South Africa
  • VODACOM, South Africa

Requirements:

• 4-8 years of experience gained at sellside institutions with MENA and South Africa exposure
• A proven track record in Telecoms sector and initiation of research reports for BOTH MENA and South Africa stocks
• Fluency in Arabic is preferable
