Public Equity Portfolio Manager, Emerging Markets Fund, London
A global institutional long-only fund is looking to hire an emerging markets focused Portfolio Manager for its London offices. The Firm operates a global multi-strategy fundResponsibilities:
- Will be responsible for a team of analysts managing US$1 billion of gross EM equity exposure, seeking investment opportunities for the firm’s capital on a proprietary basis in Emerging Markets
- Exploring fundamentally driven, market-neutral equities opportunities in EMEA (Russia, Ukraine, Central Asia, Turkey, MENA, Sub-Saharan Africa)
- Focus on old world industries such as basic materials, energy, consumer, banking, telecommunications and transportation
- Assessing and implementing investment strategies in the equity markets, new idea-generation, devising appropriate hedges and/or complimentary derivative strategies as well as trade execution and position management
- EM Language skill set preferable
